These figures are cited in a new study published by the Investment Agency, “The Impact Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on the Economy of the Republic of Moldova” (2016–2025). As noted, in the long term, the indicator showed unstable dynamics, with low values in 2016–2017 (1.1%–1.6%), followed by significant increases in 2019 (4.43%) and 2022 (4.02%), reflecting years with a more stable inflow of investment.
