Moldova will implement new projects under the EU Strategy for the Danube Region
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development held a meeting of the Coordination Council for the Implementation of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), chaired by the ministry’s Deputy Secretary General and EUSDR National Coordinator, Tatiana Nirca. The event was attended by representatives of central government agencies involved in implementing the Strategy, who reviewed the evolution of Moldova’s participation in the EUSDR and discussed cooperation priorities for the near future. During the meeting, the operational mechanism of the EUSDR and the roles of the Strategy’s implementing partners were presented, and the importance of the Coordination Groups for priority areas in developing projects, strengthening partnerships, and leveraging European funding opportunities was emphasized. Participants reviewed the progress made by Moldovan representatives in the activities of the Coordination Groups for priority areas between March 2024 and June 2026, and discussed funding opportunities available under Interreg programs and other European instruments for projects developed within the EUSDR framework.
