Moldova announces tender for the development of a unique digital platform called the “Public Roads Register,” with an estimated contract value of 7.1 million lei
The National Roads Administration reported this, announcing the launch of an open tender procedure to procure the services necessary for developing the “Public Roads Register” information system—a unique digital platform for recording and managing data on road infrastructure in Moldova. This system will integrate detailed information on roads, bridges, underpasses, sidewalks, access roads, and road safety elements (guardrails, signs, markings, and lighting). At the same time, it will enable accurate monitoring of the condition of each road section, centralized management of technical data, and timely identification of needs for maintenance, repair, and development of the road network. Thus, thanks to real-time knowledge of these factors, it will be possible to use public funds more effectively and transparently in accordance with established priorities. The main visual component of the system will be an interactive map (GIS), which users can use to explore, analyze, and interact with road infrastructure objects registered in the system. Data from the Register will be available for use by citizens and government agencies—such as the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the National Road Transport Agency (ANTA), and local authorities—as well as international partners and donor organizations, depending on their areas of responsibility and operational needs. The project will also ensure interoperability with the government platforms MConnect, MPass, MNotify, MLog, MConnect Events, and relevant government registers, which will facilitate the effective exchange of data between agencies and strengthen the digital transformation of the road sector. Interested economic operators may submit bids as part of the public procurement procedure by July 31 (10:00 a.m.), in accordance with the requirements set forth in the contract award documentation. The total estimated value of the contract is 7.1 million lei, with funding provided by the Road Fund. // 07.07.2026 – InfoMarket.
