In particular, the delegation, led by Minister Vladimir Bolea, held a series of meetings and technical visits in Paris focused on the organization and operation of modern tram systems. At the headquarters of SYSTRA, one of the world’s leading firms in the design and consulting of public transport and urban mobility solutions, models for the development of modern tram systems were presented, ranging from the design and urban integration phases to operation, maintenance, and infrastructure management. Examples of projects implemented in various cities around the world were also analyzed, along with solutions used to improve the efficiency of urban public transport. In the second half of the day, delegation members discussed with representatives of the local public transport operator RATP the organization of tram line operations, safety issues, and traffic flow management, as well as the coordination of relations between the operator and the public transport authority. The agenda also included trips on the T3a and T3b tram lines with stops at key points along the route, where solutions were presented regarding station accessibility, passenger information, tram priority at intersections, and the integration of transport infrastructure into the urban landscape. The delegation from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development also visited the Ladoumègue depot to learn about the organization of tram maintenance and storage, the operation of the control center, and the main challenges associated with managing a modern public transport network.
