European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos stated this during a meeting with Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and the government’s deputy prime ministers, as she congratulated Moldova on its steady pace of reform and the results achieved. Marta Kos noted that less than a year after the launch of the “Growth Plan for Moldova,” 28 of the 30 planned reform milestones had been completed. This progress has enabled access to EU funds totaling more than €500 million. At the same time, the implementation of reforms planned for 2026 could provide access to additional EU funds of up to €528 million. European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos emphasized that Moldova serves as an example for other EU partners—this demonstrates confidence in the country’s ability to move forward and translate reforms into concrete results. She noted that Moldova is ready to move on to the next stage of the EU accession process. The European Commissioner praised Moldova’s significant progress in implementing reforms and emphasized that the technical preparation phase for accession has been completed. This progress is also reflected in the growing interest of companies and investors in Moldova. As Marta Kos noted, Moldova is advancing on its European path thanks to reforms, investments, and growing confidence in its European future. // 05.06.2026 — InfoMarket
