The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization reported this, citing data from the National Bank of Moldova (NBM). In particular, the total inflow of foreign direct investments in January-September 2023, compared to the same period of 2022, decreased by 28.8% - from $738.51 million to $525.88 million, while the outflow decreased by 12.9% - from $257.93 million to $224.7 million. As noted, the dynamics of reduction in net inflow of foreign direct investments in Moldova in 9 months of 2023 by 37.3% - to $301.18 million was the result of a net increase in liabilities (capital of non-residents invested in Moldova) by $305.4 million. At the same time, net assets (capital of Moldovan residents invested in other countries) increased by $4.2 million.
