Moldova: Electricity tariffs for household consumers of Premier Energy and FEE Nord have been reduced by 7% and 10% - to 2.39 and 2.88 lei per kWh, respectively.
The corresponding decision was adopted by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) at a meeting on Friday. It will take effect from the day of its publication in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). According to the document, in particular, the tariff for Premier Energy household consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage (0.4 kW) distribution networks, has been reduced by 7% (-18 bani) - from 2.57 to 2.39 lei per kWh (excluding VAT). At the same time, the tariff for Premier Energy consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to medium-voltage distribution networks (6; 10 kW), it was reduced by 8.7% (-18 bani) - from 2.08 to 1.9 lei per kWh, while for those whose electrical installations are connected to high-voltage distribution networks (35; 110 kW), it was reduced by 10% (-19 bani) - from 1.9 to 1.71 lei per kWh. In turn, the tariff for Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord (FEE Nord) household consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage (0.4 kW) distribution networks, was reduced by 10% (-32 bani) - from 3.2 to 2.88 lei per kWh, and for FEE Nord consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to medium-voltage distribution networks (6; 10 kW), was reduced by 14.3% (-33 bani) - from 2.3 to 1.97 lei per kWh. According to ANRE, the decision to reduce the regulated prices for electricity supply to end consumers was approved after examining the applications submitted by Premier Energy and FEE Nord, and was conditioned by the following factors: a decrease in the average purchase price of electricity by about 3-4%; changes in the forecast of electricity supply volumes; application of the exchange rate of the national currency (MDL) against the USD - 18.31 MDL/USD, which is 3.6% less than the value applied when determining the current prices (18.99 MDL/USD). It should be noted that last time the electricity tariffs in Moldova were changed by ANRE decision of July 5 and took effect on July 7. At that time, the electricity tariff for Premier Energy household consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage (0.4 kW) distribution networks, was reduced by 14% (-42 bani) - from 2.99 to 2.57 lei per kWh (excluding VAT), while the electricity tariff for the same household consumers Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord was reduced by 10.6% (-38 bani) - from 3.58 to 3.2 lei per kWh. // 10.11.2023 - InfoMarket.
