34 deputies from three opposition factions registered and officially put forward on Wednesday the initiative to express a vote of no confidence in the government of Ion Chicu.
In particular, the relevant initiative was signed by deputies from the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), the Dignity and Truth Platform (DA) party, as well as the Democratic Party of Moldova. The initiative was officially launched on Wednesday at a plenary session of parliament. The decision on its date consideration will be adopted later. Opposition MPs believe that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ion Chicu should leave, because the government did not cope with the pandemic and economic crisis, did not provide adequate support to citizens, economic agents, doctors, etc. "We need a new government, we need early parliamentary elections otherwise we will not be able to carry out the changes in the country that the citizens of Moldova are waiting for, "said PAS deputy Igor Grosu.
