On Wednesday, with the financial support of the Czech Republic, in Ocnita was opened the medical and social center Sfinta Agata.
It became the 10th center in Moldova, opened with the financial support of the Czech Republic. The cost of building the center in Ocnita was 810 thousand euros. It was built and equipped as part of the Czech program for cooperation and development, designed for 2018-2023. At the opening of the center in Ocnita, Czech Ambassador E.S. Dl. Zdenek Krejci noted that the program establishes four main priority areas for development cooperation: sustainable management of natural resources, inclusive social development, effective democratic governance and development of agriculture and rural areas. The Czech Republic supported many other projects within the framework of the priority of “inclusive social development”: support for the social integration of preschool children, support for children with autism, support for the reform of the care system for people with intellectual disabilities. ” As previously reported, such a medical and social center Sfinta Agata worth 810 thousand euros was opened in Vulcanesti. Also in Vulcanesti, the Czech embassy implemented the project “Reducing the risks associated with hazardous waste in the village of Cismicoi”, worth 1.6 million euros. The program also includes the construction of treatment facilities in Briceni: begun in 2019, it is designed for 3 years with a total budget of 2.3 million euros.
