
Energy imports to Moldova in January-February 2023 amounted to $481.05 million in monetary terms and increased by 38.1% relative to the same period of 2022.
The National Bureau of Statistics reported that, in particular, for 2 months in 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, imports of oil and oil products in value terms increased 2.2 times - to $274.81 million, while natural gas and industrial products from gas decreased by 14.3% - to $190 .83 million. Deliveries of coal, coke and briquettes over the same period increased by 32.8% to $4.55 million. Electricity imports amounted to $10.85 million, which is 10,486.6 times more than in the same period in 2021. In general, imports of energy resources in January-February 2023 ranked 1st in the overall structure of Moldovan imports with an indicator of 32.38% against 26.99% for the same period a year earlier. At the same time, imports of petroleum products in the structure of total imports amounted to 18.5%, natural gas - 12.84%, coal, coke, briquettes - 0.31%, electricity - 0.73%. // 05.05.2023 - InfoMarket
