According to NAER, in January-December 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, the volume of gas supplies to the end consumers of the country in physical terms decreased by 29.7% - to 847.3 cubic meters, and in value terms - increased by 2.3 times - from 6 billion 665.4 million to 15 billion 309 million lei. Herewith, the tariff for consumers increased over the same period by an average of 3.3 times - from 5531 to 18069 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters. According to NAER, in particular, in 2022, in comparison with the previous year, the population reduced gas consumption in physical terms by 27.7% - from 461.6 million to 334 million cubic meters, and in monetary terms, the figure increased 2.2 times - from 2 billion 857.9 million to 6 billion 381.8 million lei. In 2022, energy sector enterprises used 252.8 million cubic meters of gas for 4 billion 223.9 million lei. Meanwhile, in comparison with the previous year, their gas consumption in 2022 in physical terms decreased by 35.3%, and in monetary terms it increased by 2.1 times. Gas consumption by public institutions decreased by 28.7% in physical terms, but increased by 2.4 times in monetary terms. In January-December 2022, they used 36.8 million cubic meters of gas for 696.6 million lei.
