Moldova is developing a financial literacy strategy.
The Ministry of Finance hosted the first meeting of the working group on promoting financial literacy, designed to develop measures aimed at increasing the financial literacy of the population, with an emphasis on public finance, and carrying out specific activities for various categories of the population. One of the goals of the group is the development and implementation of the Financial Literacy Strategy of Moldova, the timetable for the development of the document was discussed by the members of the working group. According to the press service of the department, the meeting also spoke about Moldova's participation in Global Money Week 2021. This is a global campaign to raise awareness of the importance of young people from an early age to be financially aware and gradually acquire knowledge, skills, attitude and behavior necessary to make sound financial decisions and, ultimately, to achieve financial well-being and stability. This year's campaign will run from March 22 to March 28, subject to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The theme of the campaign is “Take care of yourself, take care of your money”.
