At the same time, 3 out of 13 insurance companies ended last year with losses, the rest made a profit. The largest profit was received by the Asterra Grup company - 32.02 million lei, which is almost 4 times more than a year earlier. This is followed by: Grawe Carat Asigurari - 25.43 million lei (+ 3.5% compared to 2019), Moldasig - 14.05 million lei (against losses of 20.44 million lei in the previous year), Acord Grup - 11.3 million lei (-13.7%), General Asigurari - 10.18 million lei (a decrease of 20.5 times), Donaris VIG - 10.1 million lei (an increase of 1.5 times), etc. At the end of 2020, the total assets of Moldovan insurance companies amounted to 3 billion 173.9 million lei (+ 2.5%). The disposable solvency margin in general insurance ranged from 29.57% to 449.39%, and in life insurance - 621.08%, and the liquidity ratio - from 0.32% to 45.23% in general insurance and 53.18% - in the segment of life insurance. In 2020, insurance companies collected premiums in the amount of 1 billion 452.9 million lei (-10.6%) and paid compensations for 596.39 million lei (-8.8%). General data on the insurance market includes information on the activities of 13 licensed insurance companies, including Auto-Siguranta and Klassika Asigurari, whose licenses have been revoked. It is worth noting that the NCFM also provided data on the activities of 4 companies that were previously left without a license: Alliance Insurance Group, Asito Direct, Galas and Sigur-Asigur.
