More than 80 representatives of companies with local and foreign capital participated in the annual EY Moldova conference on taxes and accounting.
During the event, experts in the field of taxes and accounting provided information on the main changes in tax regulation and accounting that affect the reporting for 2018-2019. In particular, the following issues were discussed: profit tax, income tax, VAT, income tax for individuals, social and health insurance contributions, payments for environmental pollution and problems related to tax administration. Also, a number of issues were related to trends and changes in local legislation in the field of accounting, features of the application of IFRS 16 on leasing contracts. The company's specialists presented the main changes in these areas, spoke about their practical application, and also answered numerous questions from conference participants. Tax partner Alex Milcev informed about international tax trends, in the context of the UK exit from the EU (Brexit), about the features of the new multilateral legal instrument (MLI) to revise international conventions on avoidance of double taxation, as well as agreements on the automatic exchange of information between countries.
