In 2021, taxes and fees will amount to about 63.2% of the national public budget of Moldova.
According to the information of the Ministry of Finance, presented in the "Budget for Citizens", in 2021 the national public budget revenues are planned at the amount of 66.91 billion lei, of which 42.32 billion lei (63.2% of the total) will be taxes: 20.79 billion lei - VAT, 9.88 billion lei - income tax, 7.04 billion lei - excise taxes, 2.03 billion lei - fees from foreign trade operations. At the same time, about 30.3% of budget revenues (20.28 billion lei) will be provided by deductions for compulsory insurance: 15.08 billion lei - deductions for state social insurance, 5.2 billion lei - for compulsory medical insurance. About 1.7% of budget revenues (1.1 billion lei) will come in the form of grants (for budget support and for the implementation of projects financed from external sources).
