As the National Bureau of Statistics informed, in real terms, taking into account the growth of inflation, it increased by 14.3% versus the first quarter of 2018. In January-March 2019, the average salary in the public sector amounted to 6842 lei (+ 26.5% versus the same period of 2018), and in the real sector of the economy - 6954.3 lei (+ 13.9%). The highest salaries were earned by ITC workers - 15454.9 lei (+ 18.1% versus the same period last year) and in the financial and insurance industry - 12502.5 lei (+ 11%). In these sectors, the average salary was 2.2 times (80.6%) higher than the average salary in the country's economy. The lowest salaries in the first quarter of 2019 were in the field of agriculture, forestry and fish farming - 4241.1 lei (+ 14.2% versus the same period of 2018). In this sector, wages were 38.7% lower versus the average wage in the economy in the first quarter of 2019.
