The Moldova Transplantation Agency will be able to exchange organs for transplantation with international medical institutions
Thus, if a patient from our country urgently needs a transplant, and this body cannot be obtained in Moldova, the Agency will be able to contact the authorized medical institutions of other states. This and other changes in the activities of the Transplant Agency were approved by the government. An innovation is the creation of the National Kidney Register, which will analyze the services of providers of dialysis services and their quality, each provider individually. At the same time, by the means of the Register, it will be possible to more effectively monitor patients undergoing dialysis treatment, those on the waiting list for kidney transplants, as well as those who have undergone transplants. The estimated cost of creating the National Kidney Register software is about 740 thousand lei. It will be included in the Transplantation automated information system. The new responsibility of the Transplant Agency is related to the coordination and monitoring of human reproduction activities with medical care. Banks of human tissues and cells, including stem and reproductive cells, will be created in Moldova. In addition, the Agency for Transplantation, in conjunction with the National Public Health Agency, will establish and maintain a quality control and testing system for all donor activities for the removal, preservation, storage and distribution of human organs, tissues and cells. Within the framework of the Transplantation Agency, a “Center to train medical personnel in the field of transplantation” will be created, which will increase the level of competence and improve the skills of medical personnel in the field of donation and transplantation at the national level. Currently in our country more than 100 people need organ transplants. // 28.02.2019 - InfoMarket.
