
Moldovan citizens who are legally employed in Spain will soon receive pensions and other social benefits.
According to the press service of the National Social Insurance Agency, the conclusion of a bilateral agreement on social protection was discussed in Madrid at a technical meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection. The parties discussed the provisions of the legislation of Moldova and Spain in the field of pensions, as well as the procedure for providing benefits to insured citizens of both countries in connection with industrial accidents and occupational diseases. Also was stressed the need to prepare and start negotiations on the draft Agreement in the field of social security, in order to protect the interests of citizens legally working in the territory of both countries, regardless of their place of residence. At present, Moldova has concluded agreements in the field of social security with 11 countries: Bulgaria, Portugal, Romania, Luxembourg, Austria, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, and Lithuania. The agreement with Germany will come into force on March 1. An agreement is also signed with Turkey, but it will enter into force upon completion of the process of ratification of the document by both parties. // 08.02.2019 — InfoMarket
