Beginning with May 1, the size of the guaranteed minimum salary in the real sector of Moldova will increase by 6.3% - from 2610 to 2775 lei per month.

According to the government resolution, which the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection submitted for public consultations, the guaranteed minimum salary in the real sector (at self-financing enterprises, organizations, institutions, regardless of type of ownership and legal form), from May 1 will be 16.42 lei per hour (2775 lei per month, based on an average working time of 169 hours per month). Currently, the guaranteed minimum in the real sector is 15.44 lei per hour (2610 lei per month). The revision of the minimum guaranteed level is associated with an increase in inflation in 2018 compared with 2017 by 3%; growth of gross value added in 2018 compared with the previous year - by 4.2%; an increase of 0.9% in the number of workers receiving wages. Thus, according to specialists of the ministry, the increase in the guaranteed minimum in the real sector was influenced by the growth in labor productivity (3.3%) and the inflation rate (3%) in 2018. Project consultations will last until April 12: http: // www.particip.gov.md/proiectview.php?l=ro&idd=6267 . // 01.04.2019 - InfoMarket.
