Moldova to register in 2019-2023 more than 1 million private and state-owned real estate
According to the State Services Agency, the registration will be conducted jointly with the Public Property Agency and the Land Relations and Cadastre Agency within the framework of the World Bank-funded “Land Registration and Property Valuation Project”. The matter concerns the mass primary registration of about 800 thousand real estate objects from 490 rural settlements transferred into private ownership and 350 thousand objects of immovable property owned by the state and local authorities, which were not included in the national cadastral system. The registration procedure for all real estate will be free. The project is aimed at completing the registration of all immovable property in Moldova, as well as for cadastral work, registration and evaluation of both private and state immovable property. Currently, more than 30% of real estate in the country is not registered in the Real Estate Register. Registration will begin in the second half of 2019 from the districts of the northern region: Ocnita, Briceni, Donduseni, Edinet, Floresti and Soroca. The agreement on financing the “Land Registration and Property Valuation Project” worth 30.1 million euros was signed by the Government of Moldova and the International Development Association (part of the World Bank group) on September 17, 2018 and entered into force on January 14, 2019. // 21.02.2019 - InfoMarket.
