In Moldova for 9 months in 2018, were issued 2533 permits for the construction of residential and non-residential buildings, or 12.4% less than in the same period of 2017.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, out of the total permits issued, 1,544 (61% of the total) accounted for residential buildings, and 989 (39%) for non-residential ones. At the same time, the number of permits for the construction of residential buildings in January-September 2018, compared to the same period in 2017, decreased by 7.8%, and for the construction of non-residential buildings - decreased by 18.7%. According to the NBS, for 9 months in 2018, 1320 permits were issued for the construction of residential and non-residential buildings in the cities of Moldova and 1213 permits for construction in rural areas. Meanwhile, the number of building permits issued in cities in this period decreased by 15.9%, compared with January-September 2017, and in rural areas decreased by 8.2%. In January-September 2018, most of the permits for the construction of residential buildings were traditionally issued in Chisinau municiapality - 659 against 657 units a year earlier (+2 units). In the “Centru” development region, the number of permits issued for the construction of residential buildings decreased from 556 to 417 units (-139 units), in North, from 236 to 234 units (-2 units), in ATU Gagauzia from 87 to 69 units (-18 units). Herewith, in the “South” region the number of such permits increased from 138 to 165 units (+27 units). According to official statistics, the number of permits issued over the year for the construction of non-residential premises in Chisinau municipality increased from 121 to 158 units (+37 units), while in the rest of the development regions this indicator fell: in the “North” development region from 311 to 228 (-83 units), and “Centru” - from 324 to 301 (-23 units), “South” - from 209 to 175 (-34 units), in the ATU Gagauzia - from 252 to 127 units (-125 units).//29.10.2018 — InfoMarket.
