Construction of Arena-Chisinau multifunctional sports complex stared in Stauceni
The official start-up ceremony took place this weekend, 7 months after the authorities announced their intention to build the first multifunctional sports complex in Moldova that meets international standards. Let us recall that in August in Chisinau a contract was signed between public and private partners on the implementation of this project. In particular, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research is a state partner, a state company was created to implement the Arena Națională project, the Summa Turizm Yatirimciliği Anonim Şirketi Turkish company is a private partner, and Sam Investment Company will implement the project. In accordance with the contract, the private partner undertakes to provide design, financing, technical equipment and commissioning of the sports arena; create a multifunctional zone with a capacity of at least 4000 seats; to build a parking for 1 thousand places, a separate area for training and small events, a separate area for indoor water park, spa treatments and fitness, an Olympic swimming pool with stands for 500 spectators and at least 8 tennis courts, catering facilities, etc. The Turkish company will build the multifunctional complex within 12 months after obtaining a building permit. Let us recall that for the implementation of the Arena Chișinău project, an area of 69.2224 hectares between Chisinau and Satuceni was allocated, of which 10 hectares are intended directly for the construction of the arena and all agreed sports areas, parking, catering facilities, etc., and the remaining 59.2 hectares guaranteeing the obligations of the state to the private partner and for the future development of this zone. The whole land plot will be transferred to the balance of the state-owned Arena Națională. The total project cost is 43 million euros (excluding VAT). The return of the investment of the private partner will be at the expense of income from the operating activities of the arena and from the state budget over 12 years in equal tranches. It is worth noting that Summa was the only participant in the competition to select a private partner for the construction of Arena Chisinău sports and entertainment complex. //15.10.2018 - InfoMarket.
