
3096 permits for the construction of residential and non-residential buildings were issued in Moldova in 2019, which is 5.2% less versus 2018
The National Bureau of Statistics reported this, noting that of the total number of permits issued, 1891 (61.1% of the total) were for residential buildings, and 1205 (38.9%) - for non-residential. At the same time, the number of permits for the construction of residential buildings in 2019, versus 2018, decreased by 5.9%, and for the construction of non-residential buildings - decreased by 4.1%. According to the NBS, in 2019 it was issued 1626 permits for the construction of residential and non-residential buildings in the cities of Moldova and 1470 permits for construction in the countryside. At the same time, the number of construction permits issued in cities in January-December 2019 decreased by 3.7% versus the same period in 2018, and in rural areas decreased by 6.8%. In 2019, most of the permits for the construction of residential buildings were traditionally issued in Chisinau - 741 against 888 units a year earlier (-147 units). In the Center development region, the number of issued permits for the construction of residential buildings increased - from 558 to 576 units (+18 units), in the North development region - decreased from 281 to 253 units (-28 units), in the South development region - decreased from 190 to 171 units (-19 units), and in the ATU Gagauzia - increased from 92 to 150 units (+58 units). According to official statistics, the number of permits issued for the construction of non-residential premises in Chisinau decreased over a year from 202 to 192 units (-10 units), in the North development region - from 279 to 270 units (-9 units), Center - from 378 to 299 (-79 units), South - from 220 to 202 (-18 units).
