In Moldova, the volume of industrial production increased in January-July 2019 by 1.9% versus the same period in 2018
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in July 2019, the volume of industrial production increased by 5.9% versus the same month of the previous year. In general, in January-July 2019, compared with the same period in 2018, production volumes in the mining industry grew by 8.7%, and in the processing industry - by 2%. According to the NBS, food industry enterprises reduced overall production by 3% over 7 months in 2019 versus the same period in 2018. At the same time, the production of beverages increased by 4.3%, textile products - decreased by 8.1%, clothes - decreased by 6.7%. In the section tanning and leather trim; production of suitcases, bags, saddlery; dressing and dyeing of fur production decreased by 20.9%, and in the section processing of wood and the manufacture of wood products and cork, except furniture; the production of articles of straw and other vegetable materials for weaving it was registered 3.9% decline. The production of paper and paper products decreased by 1.3%, while the production of chemicals and chemical products decreased by 1%. The output of pharmaceutical products and pharmaceuticals grew by 11.1%, while rubber and plastic products - by 19.6%. In the metallurgical industry, production increased by 12.9%. The output of metal structures and products, except machines, equipment and installations, increased by 21.3%, computers, electronic and optical products - decreased by 15.9%. Electric equipment production decreased by 4.2%, machinery and equipment decreased by 22.7%, automobiles, trailers and semi-trailers - increased by 56.1%. Furniture production increased by 12.3%. Production and supply of electric and thermal energy, gas, hot water increased by 0.8%.
