According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in January-May 2019, the volume of production in the extractive industry increased, as compared with the same period of the previous year, by 27%, in the processing industry - by 2.1%, and in the production and provision of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning - by 0.7%. At the same time, in January-May 2019, industrial production, adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, increased by 2.5% compared with January-May 2018 due to the growth of the mining industry (+ 15.1%) and processing (+ 0.7%). Herewith, in May 2019, the volume of industrial production decreased by 5.4% compared to the same period of 2018: in the mining industry, production decreased by 17% compared to the same period of the previous year, in the processing industry - by 5.3%, and by 2.6% in the production and provision of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning.
