The National Bureau of Statistics states that, in February 2019 the volume of industrial production increased by 3.8%, versus the same month of the previous year. In general, over the first 2 months in 2019, production volumes in the mining industry increased, as compared with the same period of the previous year, by 59.3%, and in the processing industry - by 3.4%. According to the NBS, the food industry enterprises in January-February 2019, compared to the same period in 2018, reduced the overall production volumes by 2.2%. At the same time, the production of beverages decreased by 2.9%, textile products - by 6.91%, clothing - by 12.4%. Tanning and leather finishing; manufacture of luggage, handbags, saddlery; the dressing and dyeing of fur declined by 23.6%, and woodworking and the production of wood and cork, except furniture; production of straw and other plant materials for weaving - increased by 4.6%. Production of paper and paper products decreased by 6.7%, chemicals and chemical products increased by 24.3%, pharmaceutical products and pharmaceuticals increased by 17.5%, rubber and plastic products increased by 38.2%. In the metallurgical industry, production increased by 6.5%. The output of metal structures and products, except for machines, equipment and installations, increased by 20.5%, computers, electronic and optical products - decreased by 2.9%. The production of electrical equipment decreased by 4.6%, machinery and equipment decreased by 59.2%, cars, trailers and semi-trailers increased by 78.6%. Furniture production fell by 5.5%. Production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water increased by 6.1%.
