A single window has been launched in Moldova to issue permits, within which entrepreneurs, at this stage, can request online 29 documents out of 150 needed
It is planned that in the future all documents will be issued through a single window for permits issuing. The automated information system for the management and issuance of permits - a single window, successfully passed the test - the first entrepreneur applied for the issuance of one permit. The new digital solution, launched with the support of the World Bank, will facilitate the process of issuing documents, both for entrepreneurs and government issuers. The electronic single window is available on the portal servicii.gov.md, where entrepreneurs can submit online applications at any time, from any computer or mobile device. Applicants can also sign documents electronically and pay online rates for obtaining permits. Databases of 30 state institutions will be connected to this system, and they will interact online to automatically check the agent, without providing additional certificates. The applicant will receive an automatic confirmation of the registration of the application, then a notification about each stage of the application processing. During the launch of the single window for issuing permits, Prime Minister Pavel Filip noted that providing assistance for the development of the business environment is a goal that the government set at the beginning of its mandate, and in order to implement social investments and increase pensions, salaries, and also improve infrastructure, the authorities focused on creating a stable and supportive business environment. In this regard, a number of measures were taken, among which the Prime Minister singled out the following ones: reducing the number of control institutions, modernizing the Labor Code and simplifying the reporting procedure. At the same time, first of all, the number of permits was reduced, which allowed the business environment to save more than 200 million lei annually. "Besides reducing the number of permits, we also try to create comfortable conditions for obtaining these documents through a single window. Other actions will follow; in the end, we plan that 100% permits be provided through a single window,"- said Pavel Filip. In this context, the Prime Minister stressed that the launch of a single window will increase efficiency and operativeness in providing services to businesses, and will also provide savings to the business environment amounting to 60 million lei. In addition, the request in online mode minimizes contact with government officials, which will help fight corruption, as well as reduce bureaucracy. "I hope that businessmen will feel this facilitation and will take the path of increasing investments and providing new jobs," the Premier concluded. Automated information system to manage and issue permits - the single window, was created within the framework of the World Bank-funded "Enhancement of Competitiveness II" project and its budget is $45 million. // 10.07.2018 - InfoMarket.
