The National Clusters Forum 2025 will take place in Chisinau on December 3

This strategic event, dedicated to the role of clusters as a driving force for competitiveness, cooperation, and regional transformation in Moldova, is organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Moldova and its partners—Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The National Clusters Forum will be attended by representatives of clusters from Moldova and Romania, the public sector, the business community, development partners, as well as national and international experts. The event will take the form of an open dialogue, exchange of best practices, and cooperation aimed at accelerating the development of clusters in our country. A cluster is a group of interconnected and geographically close companies, institutions, and organizations working in the same or related sectors. It is a value chain formed around an industry. UNDP Moldova and its partners – the European Union, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom – have been supporting the formation of clusters in Moldova since 2019. To date, UNDP has supported the development of 17 clusters, which has contributed to the development of the local economy and Moldova's integration into international business networks. As part of the National Clusters Forum 2025, participants will assess the progress and experience gained in the development of clusters in 2021-2025. There will be announced three new micro-regions that will receive support from UNDP and the Swiss government in 2026-2028. The Forum will also discuss promoting dialogue on the development of a national cluster development policy and the creation of a National Cluster Association; facilitating access to financing for cluster initiatives; integration into EU value chains; and cooperation between both banks of the Dniester River. The Forum will feature speeches by Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugen Osmochescu, Head of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova Guido Beltrani, and UNDP Resident Representative in Moldova Daniela Gasparikova. // 02.12.2025 – InfoMarket.
