This year will be organized several large Moldovan-Russian business forums in Chisinau and in Russia.
This was announced by the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, Sergiu Harea, at a Moldovan-Russian business meeting, organized on January 30 in Chisinau, as part of the national exhibition "Made in Moldova". Herewith, the date of the upcoming forums has not yet been appointed. Sergiu Harea stressed that we are talking about major events, with the participation of a large number of participants from both sides. The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova also noted that in spite of everything, the cooperation between the business of Moldova and Russia never stopped. Sergiu Harea noted that in 2018 the trade turnover of our countries (excluding the Transnistrian region) increased by 12%, despite a slight decline in the export of Moldovan products. He said that discussions are underway to address the issue of transit of goods through the territory of Ukraine. In turn, the chairman of the Russian-Moldavian Business Council, Anatoly Koika, stressed that indeed, the problem now in trade between Moldova and Russia is, in particular, in logistics. He said that one of the solutions to this problem would be trade through the Giurgiulesti port. Anatoly Koika also noted that small trade between our countries has always worked, but now there are no major investment projects. He expressed the hope that the upcoming forums will help to establish cooperation at the level of larger investment projects. Recall that, as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova reported earlier, the goal of the Moldovan-Russian meeting in Chisinau is to activate bilateral economic ties between Moldova and Russia, promote goods and services, assess the potential for joint business. The event is attended by a Russian delegation of 7 representatives of Russian companies and an association of manufacturers who provide export assistance, are engaged in the extraction of fish and seafood, as well as their processing, provide services in the field of customs clearance, brokerage and logistics, etc. // 30.01.2019 — InfoMarket.
