
The volume of Moldovan exports to Romania in January-October 2020 amounted to $565.5 million, down 11.9% compared to the same period in 2019.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the share of deliveries of domestic goods to Romania in the total volume of Moldovan exports increased over the specified period from 27.99% to 28.21%. At the same time, the volume of imports from Romania over 10 months of 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year, decreased by 26.8% - to $513.3 million, and its share in the total Moldovan imports decreased from 14.62% to 11.87%. As a result, Moldova's positive trade balance with Romania in January-October 2020 amounted to $52.2 million against a negative trade balance of $59.2 million in the same period a year earlier.
