
The export of Moldovan goods to Russia in January-October 2020 decreased by 11.7% - to $179 million compared to the same period in 2019.
The National Bureau of Statistics informed that, at the same time, the supply of Russian products to Moldova for 10 months of 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year, decreased by 13.7% - to $472.6 million. At the same time, the share of the Russian Federation in the total volume of Moldovan exports increased over the specified period from 8.84% to 8.93%, and in imports it decreased from 11.41% to 10.93%. According to the results of January-October 2020, Russia took the 3rd place in the list of the largest partners of Moldova in terms of purchases of Moldovan products (after Romania and Germany), as well as the 3rd place in terms of supplies of products to the Republic of Moldova (after Romania and China). Moldova’s negative trade balance with RF for 10 months in 2020 amounted to $293.6 million, having decreased by 14.9%, compared to the same period in 2019.
