At the same time, the share of the Russian Federation in the total Moldovan exports increased from 8.21% to 8.27%, and in imports - increased from 12.57% to 13.19%. In January-May 2019, Russia ranked 5th in the list of the largest Moldovan partners in terms of purchases of Moldovan products after Romania, Italy, Turkey and Germany. At the same time, it takes the 2nd place in terms of the supply of products to Moldova after Romania. Moldova’s negative trade balance with the Russian Federation amounted to $215.8 million for 5 months in 2019, increasing by 10.2% versus the same period of 2018.
