PSRM proposes to allow retail trade on the basis of a patent until late 2022

The corresponding bill was registered in parliament by the PSRM deputies last week. In particular, it is proposed to allow existing owners of business patents for retail trade from trays, counters, tents, kiosks (stalls), pavilions and cars and holders of patents for the sale of food products and perishable goods of domestic production to work on the basis of patents for another three years - until December 31, 2022. The authors of the draft law point out that the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure did not propose a new mode of activity for small entrepreneurs, and an entrepreneurial patent is one of the easiest ways to carry out legal activities and generate income. The aim of the project is to protect the activities of individuals who have limited financial resources, but can develop the business, working on the basis of a patent. According to the State Tax Service, in 2016, 16161 patents were granted, and 78958 patents were renewed. At the end of 2016, 17535 patents were valid. Over 65% of patents at the end of 2016 operated in the field of trade. The authors of the bill believe that extending the term of patents on trade will allow patent holders to save jobs and increase sales in the domestic market. In addition, the bill provides that these activities will be allowed within the commercial markets and in places authorized by local authorities. This is necessary in order to rule out the existing differences and conflicts between representatives of central and local authorities, as well as tax authorities and patent holders. It should be noted that a similar bill was previously initiated by deputies of the platform “DA”, the draft has already been considered by some parliamentary commissions. // 16.07.2019 - InfoMarket
