In 2017, net sales of industrial products, produced in the FEZ of Moldova, increased by 49.1% compared to the same period of last year and amounted to 6 billion 603.8 million lei.
As InfoMarket agency was informed in the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, in 2017 more than half of the sales of industrial products was provided by the Balti FEZ - 51.2%, the share of the rest was as follows: Ungheni FEZ - 33.3%, Chisinau FEZ - 6.4%, Vulcanesti FEZ - 4.8%, Tvardita FEZ - 2.9%, and the least volume of sales of industrial products provided free zones in Ataka and Taraclia - 0.9% and, accordingly, 0.5%. About 74.2% of the total volume of industrial products produced in the FEZ (in the amount 6.07 billion lei) was exported. This amounts to 13.5% of the total volume of Moldovan exports. At the same time, 88.4% of net sales of industrial products were for export, 9.7% - deliveries to other residents of the zones and another 2% - supplies to the country. In 2017 residents of the FEZ of Moldova produced 23.1 million cases of synthetic material for car seats; an isolated electric cable for cars - for 1 billion 053.1 million lei; products from the electric cable - for 580.9 million lei; industrial electric cable - for 1.5 billion lei; 438.7 thousand square meters ceramic tiles, 1.8 million sq.m. carpets; 377 tons of wool thread and 2,3 thousand tons of synthetic thread; furniture for 25.7 million lei, 31.2 million square meters fiberglass mesh, 0.3 million decaliter of grape wine, 160.4 thousand decaliter of divin, 380.3 million caps for bottling of alcoholic beverages, 130 tons of sausages, etc. FEZ residents also provided services in the area of foreign trade (222,7 million lei, which is 32.8% less than in 2016), as well as sorting, packaging, marking and other transit operations through the customs territory of Moldova - by 12.8 million lei (this type of activity was practiced in Chisinau and Vulcanesti FEZ).
