As the National Bureau of Statistics reprted, most of the goods were imported into the country by road - 80.5% of the total. Railway transport accounted for 337% of total imports, air transport - 2.8%, sea transport - 1.3%, and fixed transport installations (gas pipelines, power grids) - 11.2% of total imports. In particular, the volume of imports to Moldova of products from the EU in the first 2 months of 2019, compared with the same period in 2018, increased by 0.05% - to $387.7 million, from the CIS countries - increased by 13.7 % - up to $225.7 million. Imports of goods from other countries increased by 1.2% - to $218.4 million. The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan imports decreased from 48.33% to 46.61%, the share of CIS countries increased from 24.75% to 27.14%, while the share of other states decreased from 26.92% to 26.25%. According to the NBS, in January-February 2019, compared with the same period in 2018, imports from the following countries increased: Russia (+ 8.7%), Ukraine (+ 14.2%), the Czech Republic (+48, 2%), Belarus (+ 41.6%), Turkey (+ 6.8%), India (1.5 times), Great Britain (+ 30.6%), Turkmenistan (2084.9 times), Slovenia (1.7 times), Germany (+ 2.1%), Switzerland (+ 34.8%), Slovakia (+ 19.6%), Kazakhstan (4.1 times), Japan (+13.9 %), Morocco (2.3 times), Lithuania (+ 45.9%), Egypt (+ 43.3%), Finland (1.5 times), Ecuador (+ 14.3%).
