Rail transport accounted for 4% of total imports, air transport - 2.6%, sea transport - 1.7%, mail - 0.2%, and fixed transport units (gas pipelines, power grids) - 9.3 % of total imports. In particular, the volume of imports to Moldova of products from the EU in the first 3 months of 2019, compared with the same period in 2018, increased by 1.5% - to $653.3 million, from the CIS countries - increased by 10.4 % - to $367.1 million. Imports of goods from other countries decreased by 1.4% - to $344.8 million. The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan imports decreased from 48.55% to 47.85%, the share of CIS countries increased from 25.08% to 26.89%, while the share of other states decreased from 26.37% to 25.26%.
