At the same time, the share of the Russian Federation in the total Moldovan exports decreased from 8.87% to 7.93%, and in imports - increased from 15.16% to 15.61%. In January-March 2019, Russia took only the 5th place in the list of the largest Moldovan partners in terms of purchases of Moldovan products after Romania, Italy, Turkey and Germany. At the same time, it takes the 1st place in terms of the supply of products to the Republic of Moldova. The negative trade balance of Moldova with the Russian Federation in the first quarter of 2019 amounted to $155 million, increasing by 10% versus the same period of 2018.
