40 companies from Romania and more than 40 companies from Moldova take part in the Moldovan-Romanian business forum
The meeting takes place in Chisinau as part of the national exhibition “Made in Moldova”. The purpose of the forum is to establish direct business contacts, exchange experiences and discuss the current situation in the relations of the business circles of Moldova and Romania. The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, Segiu Harea, noted that in 2019, in a number of cities in Romania, in particular in Brasov, the exhibition “Moldova Presents” will be held, where Moldovan manufacturers will be able to present their products. He noted that Romania is the largest trade partner of Moldova: in 2018 the trade turnover between our countries exceeded $1 billion (excluding Transnistria), which is 27% more than in 2017. In turn, the Romanian ambassador to Moldova, Daniel Ionita, noted that, according to Romanian statistics, the trade turnover between our countries in 2018 amounted to $2 billion. He also welcomed Moldova’s commitment to the Association Agreement and the DCFTA. The ambassador confirmed the interest of Romanian companies in the Moldovan market.
