MOLDAC retained the acknowledgement of national accreditations at European level

The results of the assessment carried out by the team of the European Organization for Accreditation (EA) regarding the activities of the National Accreditation Center MOLDAC were presented in Chisinau. On February 14 - 22, MOLDAC passed the conformity assessment in order to preserve the status of the party that signed the Agreement on bilateral recognition with EA. The expert group consisted of representatives of national accreditation bodies of the EU countries. As a result of the assessment, the EA team did not find inconsistencies in the MOLDAC accreditation process and noted that MOLDAC has implemented a rigorous and effective risk management system. Thus, MOLDAC, based on the initial assessments that were conducted in February 2017, continued to develop and improve its internal systems and procedures and, as a result, confirmed its acknowledgement for the following accreditation schemes: testing and calibration - in accordance with ISO / IEC 17025, medical tests - according to ISO 15189, checks - according to ISO / IEC 17020, product certification - according to ISO / IEC 17065, management systems certification - according to ISO / IEC 17021-1. “Keeping acknowledgement of national accreditations at the European level will ensure free movement of Moldovan products by confirming test reports and certificates issued by Moldova’s conformity assessment bodies (certification bodies, testing / calibration laboratories, inspection bodies) in all EU countries that have signed this agreement”, noted the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Iuliana Dragalin. The European Accreditation Organization (EA) is an association of national accreditation bodies of EU member states, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and candidate countries in these organizations. In addition, the EA includes countries that are potential candidates, as well as countries of the European Neighborhood Policy. // 26.02.2019 - InfoMarket.
