In Moldova will be simplified the registration procedures and activities of non-profit organizations, according to international best practices.
This is provided for in the draft Law on Non-Profit Organizations, which was approved for adoption in the second reading by the Parliamentary Legal Commission on Law, Appointments and Immunity. During the online meeting, the report on the bill for the second reading was approved. In general, members of the commission considered more than 100 amendments to the draft law submitted by civil society and deputies after its adoption in the first reading at the spring-summer session of 2018.The draft law should be discussed during the final reading in plenary. The new law will regulate the legal framework of nonprofit organizations. It is proposed to simplify the procedures for their registration and activities by introducing the best international practices on freedom of association. The adoption of the Law on Non-Profit Organizations is necessary because, having been developed in 1996-1999, the national legislation on freedom of association, despite some amendments, does not offer solutions that meet modern realities. The adoption of the law is one of the conditions, the implementation of which is necessary to receive the next tranche of macro-financial assistance from the European Union.//28.05.2020 — InfoMarket.
