Three companies that will invest more than 0.5 million euros and will create about 230 jobs became the new residents of the "Ungheni-Business" free economic zone
As the press service of the Ungheni- Business FEZ informed, Alpha Omega Confexim, Handtuft-Unicorn and Ursidai became the winners of the contest for the selection of new residents. In particular, Alpha Omega Confexim with Cyprus capital plans to open in I half of 2018 in the FEZ territory a factory for the production of women's clothing. According to the company's business plan, net sales of textiles will annually reach 2 million euros and the investment in this production will be 0.5 million euros. The enterprise will employ 220 people; the average salary will be 275 euros. The Moldovan-Belgian Handtuft-Unicorn company intends to start the production of carpets made of woolen thread on the territory of the Ungheni- Business FEZ by the end of March this year. Initially, the company will employ 3 people, and their salary will be 5 thousand lei. The investor intends to invest in the development of this project from 16 to 50 thousand euros and achieve annual sales worth 0.5 million euros. Another new resident, Ursidai, will provide services for other residents in the free zone (storage, collection, sorting, and packaging of textiles). It should be noted that Ungheni- Business FEZ is one of the largest free economic zones in Moldova. As of the end of September 2017, its 34 residents' investments amounted to $71.9 million.
