The debt of Termoelectrica to Moldovagaz for consumed gas at the end of November 2017 was about 2 billion 539.6 million lei.
Meanwhile, the debt of the CET-Nord (“North” Thermoelectric Plant) Balti amounted to 231.6 million lei. Herewith, the debt of consumers to Termoelectrica was about 890.8 million lei at the same date, and about 57.7 million lei to CET-Nord. This information was voiced by the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici, presenting at the government meeting a draft resolution on the extension of the time to return to the state reserve of masut received in 2009 by Chisinau Thermoelectric power station-1 and Thermoelectric power station-2, the legal successor of which is Termoelectrica. He noted that the enterprises could not acquire the necessary amounts of masut in time and return it to the state reserve because of the difficult financial situation and the need to provide current payments to Moldovagaz for the supplied natural gas. Chiril Gaburici noted that due to the big debts, the accounts of heat energy suppliers were arrested by the operator of the natural gas market. // 12/01/2018 – InfoMarket.
