An IMF mission led by Alina Iancu will visit Moldova from December 4 to 17 for annual consultations with the country's authorities
According to Svetlana Cerović, the International Monetary Fund's permanent representative in our country, the main goal of the mission is to gather information on recent economic developments, assess macroeconomic prospects and risks, and discuss policy and reform priorities with the authorities and other key stakeholders. The IMF mission will hold consultations with the Moldovan authorities based on the agreement with the IMF. In particular, in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the agreement, bilateral consultations are held annually (as a rule) with all member countries. The IMF mission visits the country to collect economic and financial data and to discuss economic progress and policies with the authorities.
