The Government of the Republic of Moldova will allocate 7.98 million lei to the owners of the agricultural lands from the Dubasari district, who do not have access to their plots located behind the Ribnita-Tiraspol highway
This decision was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, endorsing the decision to grant them direct payments for 2017 amounting to 7.98 million lei from the Government's Reserve Fund. According to the decision of the Cabinet, more than 5.5 thousand owners of such agricultural lands will receive 1229.68 lei per hectare of land on the basis of the situation developed and adopted by the Dubasari District Council. The local authorities will distribute the allocated funds among the owners, in compliance with the conditions of transparency and fairness, in coordination with the State Chancellery and the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and the Environment. As previously reported by InfoMarket agency, the agricultural land with an area of 6494.8 hectares located beyond the Ribnitsa-Tiraspol highway and accounting for about 42% of the total area of the district is owned by more than 5.5 thousand beneficiaries-residents of the communes of Cocieri, Cosnita, Dorotcaia, Molovata Noua and Pirita of the Dubasari district. Their owners can not process the land because of the actions of the representatives of the Transnistrian structures, which prohibited them the access to the plots. At the same time, at the end of last year, Chisinau and Tiraspol agreed to solve by the beginning of February 2018 the problem regarding the access of the land owners and farmers from the Dubasari district to their agricultural lands beyond the Ribnitsa-Tiraspol highway. Since 2014, the authorities have paid compensations for the losses incurred by the agricultural producers, and for 2014-2016 the total amount of these payments was about 29 million lei. Chisinau hopes that, on the basis of the agreements between Chisinau and Tiraspol, at the beginning of February this year, people who provided all necessary documents will already have access to their land plots ans will be able to process them. // 12.01.2018 - InfoMarket.
