The 18th National Wine Day will be held in Chisinau on October 5-6.
According to the National Office of Grape and Wine, the holiday, according to tradition, will be held on the first weekend of October. This year the holiday will be celebrated longer and larger than usual. For the first time, on October 5 and 6, the wine town will go beyond the area of the Great National Assembly and cover the square of the Cathedral, which will house the Wine School and the Peasant's Court. On the stage installed on the pedestrian street of E. Doga, creative teams from Moldova, Ukraine and Romania will perform. At the same time, a week before National Wine Day, all wineries in the country will open their doors to guests and will receive them from September 28 to October 13. Wine tasting will be possible by region, and the stands of more than 65 wineries will be located according to the map of regions with protected geographical names. Visitors to the National Wine Day will be able, as in previous years, to purchase a taster card with information about the wineries, 12 tasting tickets, a program of events, discounts on wine tours, promotional materials, and public transport tickets. According to the organizers, this year the festival will use only environmentally friendly materials, and will optimize the cost of electricity in favor of using renewable sources. It is planned to use biodegradable materials, ecological furniture, carry out separate collection of garbage as part of the events of the holiday, and also reduce the amount of waste in general. National Wine Day will also go beyond the borders of the country: for the second year in a row, Moldovan Wine Day will also be held in the commune of Snagov in Romania. The event will bring together 26 winemakers from our country. In addition, Moldovan Wine Day will be celebrated in Iasi on September 21-22, as well as in Baia Mara on September 28-29. Moldovan wine day already took place last weekend in Belarus.// 11.09.2019 — InfoMarket.
