Since the beginning of 2019, the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) approved 1,662 applications for grants in the amount of 251,4 million lei.

According to AIPA, to the agency were submitted a total of 2,408 applications for financial assistance from the state, which is almost 7% more than the number of applications accepted for the same period last year. Most of the applications (978 applications for 108.5 million lei) were submitted for subsidies for the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment. For the planting of perennial plants, including cutting down of unproductive crops, were submitted 779 applications for 120.1 million lei. 204 applications for 158 million lei were submitted to stimulate investment in the development of post-harvest and processing equipment. In the field of livestock production, were submitted 89 applications for financing, of which 75 applications for stimulating investments in equipment upgrades (the amount of requested subsidies - 22.4 million lei) and 14 applications for livestock (5.2 million lei). At the same time, annually 5% (45 million lei) from the resources of the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas are aimed at providing advance subsidies to young people and women farmers who start their own business for the first time. According to preliminary data, the number of single agricultural producers who applied for subsidies is 1821 producers, of which 1244 are small agricultural producers (68%), 446 medium agricultural producers (25%) and 131 large agricultural producers (7%). Recall that this year the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Area is about 900 million lei. In 2018, AIPA received more than 7.4 thousand applications for financial assistance totaling more than 1 billion lei. As a result of the requested subsidies, it was possible to attract investments in the agro-industrial sector, as well as in related areas, amounting to about 6 billion lei, which is 15% more than the investments of agricultural producers in 2017. Thanks to investments, were created more than 4.6 thousand jobs. Since the beginning of this year, investments in agriculture amounted to about 550 million lei, which created 239 new jobs and 286 seasonal jobs.// 19.08.2019 — InfoMarket.
