In Moldova, 14 novice agricultural producers requested from the state advance subsidies exceeding 8 million lei
The Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) reported this, noting that the relevant applications were filed from May 7 to July 9 as part of the fourth stage of accepting documents for receiving advance subsidies. This money is given to finance start-ups of youth and women-farmers who run their business in the agricultural sector. According to AIPA, the submitted 14 beginning agricultural producers requested advance subsidies from the state worth 8 million lei, planning investments in the agricultural sector totaling about 13 million lei, which will lead to the creation of more than 50 new jobs. At the same time, the majority of applications for advance subsidies - 7 (50% of the total) - were filed by women. As noted by AIPA, 5 of the investment projects presented concern the production of vegetables and fruits on protected surfaces (greenhouses, etc.); 4 - zootechnical sector; 3 - acquisitions of bee families and specialized equipment for the production of honey; 4 - laying of perennial plants. Another 2 investment projects are related to the development of post-harvest and processing infrastructure. AIPA reported that 14 received applications are to be considered at the central office, after which the documents will be handed over to the Evaluation and Selection Committee to evaluate business plans.
