Winter Bazaar 8th December 2012

Winter Bazaar 8th December 2012

The 16th annual IWCM Winter Charity Bazaar will take place from 10:00 - 16:00 on Saturday 8th December 2012 in Pavilion 1 at Moldexpo, Chisinau. Entrance is free and all are welcome to join in the fun!

The Winter Bazaar is one of the IWCM's main charity fundraising activities and all proceeds go to causes and projects benefitting women and children in Moldova. This year we will support the work of CCF Moldova (Child Community Family, Moldova) and our target is to raise enough money to create a "social creche" in Tiraspol to help prevent the abandonment of babies in institutions and the separation of socially vulnerable families. The social creche will offer 10-12 places for day care for babies and infants from 4 months up to 3 years old, giving parents (usually single mothers with no financial, or family support) the opportunity of returning to work in order to support themselves and their families. At the moment the only option available to them is to abandon their their babies in full time residential care in an institution. The social creche, the first of its kind in Transnistria, will provide a viable and much better alternative. For more information about CCF Moldova, please visit http://www.ccf.moldova.org/

The Winter Bazaar is a fantastic opportunity for the international and local communities to get together and have a great time raising money for charity. With so many Embassies, international organisations, charities, businesses and local crafts producers taking part each year, the Winter Bazaar is a one day trip around the world without leaving Chisinau - with lots of free entertainment along the way. It's a once a year chance to buy different national foods, gifts and souvenirs and to win fantastic prizes in our amazing raffle. Tickets cost just 10 Lei each and for our star prize Turkish Airlines have generously donated 3 return flights from Chisinau to Istanbul - and many other local and international companies have donated amazing prizes too. And while you're enjoying all the fun of the Winter Bazaar, you can even visit Santa in his special booth!

The IWCM sincerely thanks all of our generous sponsors and media partners for supporting the Winter Bazaar 2012 and we look forward to seeing everyone there!
